1 c butter
1 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 t vanilla
2 cups flour
6 oz pkg. chocolate chips
½ c nuts (opt)
Cream butter, brown sugar and vanilla.
Add flour, chocolate chips, and nuts.
Spread in 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
Cut while still warm, then cool completely before eating.
To keep soft, store cookies with a piece of bread in an airtight jar.
