1 ½ c shortening, melted
½ c molasses
2 eggs
2 c sugar
4 c flour
4 t baking soda
1 t cloves
1 t ginger
2 t cinnamon
1 t salt
Beat together shortening, molasses, eggs, and sugar.
Add the rest. Mix together.
Chill for ½ hour, then form into balls and roll in a combination of cinnamon and sugar.
Bake 8-10 minutes, use timer because you can’t tell how done the cookies are because of the cinnamon. They may look undercooked, but let them cool.
