4 c very warm water
2 T dry yeast
1 c sugar
1 c melted butter (that has cooled some)
1 c dry instant potato flakes
4 eggs
1 ⅓ c instant milk
10 c flour
1 T salt
7 T butter
In a large bowl, mix water, sprinkle with yeast and then cover with sugar. Let yeast soften and begin to work.
Then add butter, potato flakes, eggs, and milk. Mix well.
Work in flour and salt.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
Melt 6 T of butter (or more) for the next part.
Divide into 6 equal parts. (Dough is supposed to be very soft)
On a floured surface, roll each part into a 12 inch circle.
Brush on 1 T melted butter.
Using a pizza cutter, slice into 12 pie-shaped pieces.
Roll up "crescent roll" fashion beginning at the wide end.
Place on cookie sheet.
Let rise 30 mins or more.
Bake 10-12 mins at 400 degrees.
