9 in unbaked pie shell
1 med onion, chopped
4 T butter
2 c shredded Swiss cheese
3 eggs
1 c half & half
¼ t salt
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Put 2 T butter in a pan and over med heat, sauté onions until tender.
Take the remaining butter and spread it on the bottom and sides of the pie crust.
Place the cooked onions in the bottom of the pie shell and top with the Swiss cheese.
Whisk together the eggs, half & half, and salt, and pour on top of the cheese.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 mins, reduce the heat to 325 and bake for 25 mins more.
Let stand for 10 mins before serving.
