Grandma’s Lemon Squares

Ingredients

Crust

• 1 stick soft butter

• 1 c flour

• ¼ c powdered sugar

Filling

• 1 c sugar

• 2 eggs

• 2 T flour

• ½ t baking powder

• juice and grated rind from 1 lemon

• Powdered sugar

Preparation

1. Mix crust until crumbly.

2. Press onto bottom of pan.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until brown.

4. Combine all ingredients for filling.

5. Pour on top of crust.

6. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden.

7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

8. Let cool in pan.

9. Cut into squares.

Notes

Makes 36 squares. These MUST be baked in a 9x9 pan. Other sizes will not work.
