1 ½ c crushed vanilla wafers
¼ c butter
4 egg whites
½ c sugar
21 oz sweetened, thickened strawberries
1 c whip cream
Combine wafer crumbs with butter.
Press into 8 in sq baking pan.
Beat egg whites stiff, gradually adding sugar.
Spread over crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes.
Cool.
Pour fruit over and top with whip cream. Chill.
