One box Nabisco chocolate wafers
1 cube butter
4 egg yolks (save whites)
2 cups milk
1 cup sugar
2 envelopes Knox gelatin
¼ tsp. salt
1 pkg chocolate chips
1 pint cream
Crust:
Smash the chocolate wafers.
Melt the butter; mix together.
Press in bottom of large spring form pan or two pie pans.
Bake at 350 for 10 min. Cool.
Filling:
Whisk the egg yolks (save whites) with the milk.
Add sugar, gelatin and salt.
Put over medium heat, add chocolate chips and stir until melted. Cool completely.
Beat the cream until really thick.
Beat egg whites until very stiff.
Beat all together.
Pour over crust; refrigerate. (Best served the next day.)
