4 c diced apples (any kind is fine!)
¾ c vegetable oil
1 ½ c sugar
2 c flour
1 ½ t baking soda
1 t salt
1 t cinnamon
2 eggs
½ c chopped nuts
1 t vanilla
½ c raisins
Caramel Sauce:
½ c brown sugar
½ c white sugar
½ c butter
½ c whipping cream
½ t vanilla
Mix sugar with apples and let stand for ½ hour.
Add apples and other ingredients, mix (don’t overmix!)
Pour batter into greased 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350 for 50-60 mins until done.
For caramel sauce:
Cook slowly until smooth and thickened.
Pour over apple cake.
