2 packages yeast (2T)
⅓ c warm water
3 eggs, well beaten
½ c soft shortening
4 ½ c flour
½ c sugar
1 c warm water
2 ½ t salt
Soften the yeast in ⅓ c warm water.
Add eggs, shortening, 2 ½ c flour, sugar, 1 c warm water, and salt.
Beat until smooth. Add rest of flour.
Cover, let rise until doubled. Punch down, place in fridge overnight.
3 hours before baking, roll out as desired (I split it in 3 balls, then roll it out, cut it into 12 wedges, and roll up like crescents).
Spread with melted butter.
Place on cookie sheet and allow to rise, covered, for 3 hours.
Bake at 400 for 12-14 minutes.
