1 c butter
1 ⅓ c sugar
2 T water
1 T light karo syrup
½ c ground almonds
1 T almond extract
6 oz semi sweet chocolates
Ground almonds to sprinkle on top
Mix butter, sugar, water, and syrup.
Microwave 5 minutes, whisk until creamy.
Return to microwave and heat until mixture boils and reaches a caramel color, about 5-12 minutes, depending on microwave. Watch it carefully!!
Add ½ c ground almonds and 1 T almond extract.
Whisk together, pour into 9x13 pan, which has been covered with ground almonds.
Pour in ribbons, do not spread.
Sprinkle with semi-sweet chocolate chips, spread with melted.
Sprinkle chocolate w/ more ground nuts.
